How We Make Our Artwork

From first sketch to final polish, every piece is created in our Staffordshire workshop using a mix of traditional design principles and modern laser precision.

Concept & Sketching

Every design starts with an idea — a motif, a symbol, a vehicle silhouette, a band logo, or a piece of reference art. We refine it into clean, recognisable shapes that translate well into laser‑cut geometry.

Digital Vector Design

The sketch is rebuilt as a precise vector file. This ensures:

  • Perfect symmetry

  • Clean curves

  • Sharp silhouettes

  • Laser‑ready paths

This is where the “Boon Hill” style really takes shape.

Material Selection

We work with high‑quality materials chosen for clarity, strength and finish:

  • Acrylic (opaque, translucent, frosted, stained‑glass colours)

  • MDF and hardwoods

  • Specialist laminates

  • Engraving‑grade plastics

Each material is selected to suit the design and the final look

Assembly & Finishing

Once cut, the components are:

  • Cleaned and polished

  • Painted or detailed (if required)

  • Layered and bonded

  • Framed or mounted

  • Backlit for faux stained‑glass pieces

Every piece is checked for alignment, clarity and finish before leaving the workshop.
